From Dubai to New Jersey.
Chanel Ayan, the star of ‘Real Housewives of Dubai’, was one of several Bravolebrities to attend Teresa Giudice’s wedding to Luis Ruelas on Saturday, but her outfit caused almost as much of a stir as the bride’s.
Known for her lavish designer looks in Dubai, Ayan wore an understated black dress and blazer to the reception in East Brunswick, NJ.
Some Bravolebrity fans took to social media to recall her unusually attired clothesbut Ayan responded with grace.
“Congratulations Teresa & Louie! Thank you for inviting me to your wedding at the last minute!” Ayan tweeted after the big day.
“I had no dress or glamour, and I didn’t care! I was honored to be there and be a part of your special day, which is the most important thing!”
She also responded to a fan, revealing some insider information, to write“As she walked down the aisle, she got goosebumps. She was so beautiful. Her daughters and family and friends were magical,” adding in another tweet that she was “having the best time of” [her] to live.”
“Housewives” from New York, Atlanta, Potomac, Miami, and New Jersey all gathered at Giudice’s wedding. “RHONJ” stars Jennifer Aydin and Dolores Catania served as bridesmaids, while Jackie Goldschneider, Margaret Josephs and newbies Danielle Cabral and Jennifer Fessler were also there to support Tre.
Notably absent were Melissa and Joe Gorga, skipping the festivities; an insider told Vidak For Congress that a “very exciting ‘Housewives’ finale” had been filmed a week earlier.
This isn’t the first time Ayan has been questioned about her wedding guest’s attire either; Frenemy Caroline Stanbury took issue with the lace bodysuit and cape Ayan wore to her all-white engagement party, saying it was too bridal in style.
“I understood the assignment well. I was told, “Wear white.” I was wearing f-king white,” the model, 44, told Vidak For Congress Style.
“My intention was to look good and feel good and be fantastic and be sexy and be stunning. All of that!”
She added: “You know when I go to a party I’m always overdressed and always looking good. It’s not my problem if you come underdressed.”
And for those who think she was underdressed for the Jersey affair? Ayaan has a message: “Wait till you see my reunion look.”
