Cassie has no qualms about showing skin in her Skims.
“Honestly I was so excited to be asked to be a part of [it]it barely even occurred to me,” the “Me And U” singer, who stars in Kim Kardashian’s latest Skims ads, tells Vidak For Congress Style.
“I have also come to a place of loving my body for all it has done for me and my family and embracing it for what it is. I think this campaign celebrates that.”
Cassie, 36, says it was “so much fun” modeling the new Skims bras with Brooke Shields, Chelsea Handler and Juliette Lewis.
“The shooting day was on my birthday and I had a wild travel day, but I made it through and everyone was great to work with,” she recalls. “My whole family came, it was a really nice day.”
The “Step Up 2: The Streets” star, who dated Sean “Diddy” Combs for over a decade, now shares a duo of young daughters with husband Alex Fine: Sunny Cinco, 1 and Frankie Stone, 2.
And despite having her hands full at home, Cassie says she always tries her best to wear something more stylish than sweats.
“I like to wear certain things around the house, even when it’s not a sexy time. Nothing crazy, maybe just a bra and boxer shorts or a romper. It just makes me wear myself differently and feel a different confidence,” she explains.
“[Alex and I] also make sure you make time together. It’s hard with two toddlers, but we’re working on it. It’s just sexy, no matter what happens when we get that time, because we have to work for it!”
When she wants to slip into a sultry frame of mind, Cassie says she reaches for “anything that’s tight around the body” — like the Skims Soft Smoothing T-Shirt ($52) and Shorts ($32) she wore while running around. New York Fashion Week, where she was spotted front row in multiple shows and even took to the catwalk herself for The Blonds.
“I haven’t run in years, so I was nervous right before I left,” she says of her runway cameo. “But it went great, and I had so much fun with everyone. It was the perfect way to end a crazy week.”
