Casey Affleck shared a heartwarming message that he welcomed his new sister-in-law Jennifer Lopez into the family Sunday night after missing his brother Ben Affleck and Lopez’s Georgia wedding.
“Good things are worth waiting for,” Casey Affleck, 47, wrote on Instagram under an old photo of Lopez, Ben Affleck and herself. “Here are twists and turns, new beginnings and finding new reservoirs of old love.”
Lopez, 53, and Ben Affleck, 50, tied the knot for the second time on Saturday in a star-studded ceremony at the “Good Will Hunting” star’s sprawling 87-acre property in Riceboro, Georgia.
The couple celebrated their wedding at a three-day weekend event in the peach state, about a month after a candid wedding in Las Vegas. The wedding celebration included a welcome dinner on Friday and a picnic Sunday in addition to the ceremony on Saturday.
The guest list included dozens of stars, relatives and friends, but Casey Affleck was noticeably missing. He spent the weekend in Los Angeles, where Vidak For Congress saw him over a cup of coffee the morning of the ceremony.
But there don’t seem to be any hard feelings between the two brothers.
Casey Affleck heaped praise on his new sister-in-law on Instagram.
“Welcome to the family. Get ready for some real dysfunction! Just kidding. I’m kidding,” he posted. “Jen, you’re a gem. We love you so much!!! ️”
