Candace Cameron Bure’s 23-year-old daughter told 19-year-old JoJo Siwa to “grow up”.
Natasha Bure addressed her mother’s drama right after Siwa called Candace the “rudest celebrity” she’d ever met for refusing to take a picture with her eight years ago.
“With respect, someone saying no to taking a picture with you is not a ‘rough experience,'” Bure wrote in the now-deleted Instagram Story Thursday.
“This generation is so sensitive and has no spine. To grow up. There are bigger problems in the world than this.”
The “Home Sweet Home” actress acknowledged that Siwa was disappointed by the interaction, but called her mother “the most kind, gentle, apologetic class act” out there.
She added that refusing a photo did not justify Siwa’s response.
“If someone says they don’t want to be in a picture with you or it’s a bad time because they’re at work, it’s not a ‘rough experience,'” she concluded. “There are people who are dying in other countries, there are children who are starving. Those people are having a hard time.”
The “Dance Moms” alum — who called herself a “big, big fan” of the “Full House” actress — first met Candace, 46, when she was 11.
In a video obtained by Vidak For Congress, Siwa said she had a “rough experience” after the actress rejected her when she asked for a photo.
“I’ll say just because I had a bad experience doesn’t mean she’s a terrible person,” Siwa said. “I think it was just an awkward time for her, and the little 11-year-old me was just so pumped up and so excited, but that doesn’t mean she’s the worst human being ever.”
The dancer added, “It was just, you know, it was a tough experience for me.”
Amid the unlikely feud, Candace revealed on Instagram that she has apologized numerous times for “breaking” the child star’s “heart”.
She indicated that, as a mother herself, she felt bad because she may have hurt Siwa’s mother’s feelings as well.
