City of light? More like City of Love.
Newlyweds Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz supported his mother, Victoria Beckham, at her first Paris Fashion Week show on Friday, sitting in the front row along with father David Beckham and siblings Romeo, 20, Cruz, 17, and Harper, 11, amid family drama.
“It’s Paris baby!! I am so grateful to my family, @BritishVogue and @VogueMagazine for always supporting me on this journey xx VB,” the former Spice Girl, 48, captioned an Instagram photo of her children with Anna Wintour and British Vogue editor -in-chief Edward Enniful.
The young couple, who arrived separately from the Beckham family, matched up in black shirts and jeans for the event, with Peltz, 27, showing off her freshly dyed brunette hair and dramatic bangs.
At the end of the runway presentation, Victoria burst into tears, overcome with emotion as she bowed after her first live show with an audience since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Brooklyn, 23, was also spotted hugging family members, including David, after the show.
The endorsement comes after a report alleged that David, 47, had berated his eldest son for continuing the feud between Peltz and Victoria that began over the “Bates Motel” alum’s decision not to wear a Victoria-designed wedding dress.
“[David] had it up with [Brooklyn] and told him, ‘We don’t do this in our family – and you know we don’t do this in our family,'” an insider told the Daily Mail on Thursday.
Peltz herself recently spoke about the wedding dress issue, saying she chose to go with Valentino Haute Couture after Victoria said she couldn’t make a special dress.
“I planned and I really wanted it, and a few months later she realized her studio couldn’t do it, so I had to pick another dress,” she told Vogue.
“She didn’t say, ‘You can’t wear it’; I didn’t say I didn’t want to wear it. That’s where it started, and then [the media] walked with that.”
Matters have continued to escalate between the Peltz-Beckhams – who tied the knot in April – and his parents, with the newlywed couple’s recent comments in the press troubling.
However, it seems that the young lovers are now trying to repair fences.
