Brittany Aldean says ‘transphobic’ post ‘taken out of context’

Brittany Aldean claims her supposedly transphobic Instagram reel was “taken out of context” a week after sparking online comments.

“Instead of twisting my words, I chose to get something good out of it,” Jason Aldean’s wife wrote via Instagram on Tuesday.

The social media upload announced the launch of the 34-year-old former cheerleading squad “Don’t Tread On Our Kids” sweatshirts and T-shirts.

Brittany elaborated on the inspiration behind the “Barbie-inspired” designs in an Instagram Story post.

“They say ‘Don’t enter our children’ because that’s how we feel,” she said. “Leave the kids alone.”

While many of the Tennessee native’s followers praised her clothing line, others flagged the Barbie-esque font to Mattel via Twitter.

“@Barbie did Brittany Aldean get permission to use your brand as part of her clothing line?” one social media user tweeted.

Another added“@Mattel I hope you know that Brittany Aldean is using your branding to spread her transphobic agenda.”

Brittany has been feuding online with country singers Maren Morris and Cassadee Pope since they posted a video last week with the caption: “I would really like to thank my parents for not changing my gender as I went through my tomboy phase. I love this girlish life.”

Pope sarcastically called Brittany’s move ‘very nice’ tweet“Here we are, hearing someone compare their ‘tomboy phase’ to someone who wants to switch.”

Morris, for her part, wrote,,It’s so easy to, like, not be an asshole person? Sell your clip-ins and zip them up, Insurrection Barbie.’

Jason, 45, defended his wife when she mentioned parents who allowed their trans children to become “one of the worst evils”, referring to her as “MY Barbie”.

The lead singer of “Dirt Road Anthem” also commented on Brittany’s original post, writing: “Lmao!! I’m glad they didn’t either, because you and I wouldn’t have worked. .”

Brittany continued to hit back on her own, accusing the 33-year-old pope via Stories of “advocating the genital mutilation of children”.

She called Morris, 32, “Karen Morris” and thanked her for the Barbie comparison.

On Monday, Brittany reposted a quote from Republican pundit Robby Starbuck about receiving “hatred” about your “beliefs.”
