Billionaires, A-listers and jet-setters have gone to St. Tropez and one source told us the French hotspot is “on fire”.
There have even been several ultra-exclusive bashes competing for the most popular ticket in the world.
Nightlife mogul Richie Akiva threw a party for Swiss biotech billionaire Ernesto Bertarelli, where we hear Drake, Leonardo DiCaprio, longtime “Pussy Posse”, member Tobey Maguire and Bulls star (and Khloe Kardashian’s baby daddy). Tristan Thompson hung out with an army of models.
The St. Tropez rager, with a lavish dinner and dance, was held on what one source described as an “epic estate” overlooking the water. Drake manned a DJ booth by the pool.
“Drake was on the microphone all night,” said the source.
We were told that model Suede Brooks, with whom Drake was photographed ‘yacht hopping’ on the island, was also in attendance.
Forbes estimates that Bertarelli, who owns the $150 million superyacht VAVA II, is worth $8.5 billion.
Vidak For Congress learns there’s an invite-only bash on Saturday night, the Aurora Gala, hosted by artist Mouna Rebiez. She expects, among others, Uma Thurman, Diplo, Gerard Butler, Queen Latifah, heir Stavros Niarchos and his wife Dasha Zhukova. It benefits the mental health organization Aurora, which was founded by Rebiez’s children, Henry and Souraya Chalhoub.
Meanwhile, the grandson of French billionaire Tony Murray hosted a party at one of the largest homes in the ultra-luxury gated community, Les Parcs de Saint-Tropez. The neighborhood is also home to Bernard Arnault, president of the luxury group LVMH and Mohamed al-Fayed, owner of Ritz Paris.
And we hear rum heiress Lady Monika Bacardi throw a birthday party for 300 people on Indie Beach with guests like publicist Anna Rothschild.
Sienna Miller and boyfriend Oli Green, Victoria and David Beckham, Adrien Brody and Georgina Chapman, and Sofia Richie have also been spotted.
Next on the travel list for the chic set is Capri for the UNICEF gala on July 30. Jennifer Lopez, currently on honeymoon in Paris with Ben Affleck, is scheduled to perform, and Akiva is expected to host an afterparty.
