Bella Hadid appeared in the Coperni fashion show on Friday during Paris Fashion Week 2022, but her outfit was a DIY.
As captured by the New York Times fashion critic Vanessa Friedman and many others on social media, the 25-year-old model appeared on the runway in nothing but a pair of underwear and heels, covering her breasts while a team of three men sprayed her.
They strategically sprayed a thick white latex around her torso, creating an opaque layer as the model stood still and adjusted her arms.
Finally, a mid-length, chunky dress with a thigh-high split and off-the-shoulder sleeves formed, which was elegantly draped before Hadid walked off the stage to close the runway show.
Coperni is known for their bold styles – the brand went viral in April with their wallet made of hand-blown glass, worn by Kylie Jenner and Doja Cat.
Fans went crazy with the look created before their eyes, with one write on Twitter, “I’m speechless… this is art.” Another said“Fashion that becomes really entertaining again is healing the world.”
Hadid has been sweeping the runway this month, earlier in the day on the runway for Victoria Beckham and Thursday at the Isabel Marant fashion show with sister Gigi Hadid. She was also seen earlier this week in London for Burberry, and before that in Milan and New York City.
As Fashion Month draws to a close, with big shows like Valentino, Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton, and Chanel to come, it’s likely that the star will see more runway appearances — though certainly none will be as memorable as this one.
