Audrina Patridge Blames ‘The Hills’ For Chris Pine’s Breakup

Audrina Patridge blames “The Hills” for the demise of her late relationship with Chris Pine.

“He didn’t like going out and being followed by the paparazzi – he was an introvert and very focused on his acting,” the 37-year-old reality star recalls in her new memoir, “Choices: To the Hills and Again.” back.”

“I loved going out, and of course I was filming ‘The Hills’ most of the time, so in that sense our lifestyles were complete opposites.”

The former couple — who met in April 2009 at the ShoWest Awards in Las Vegas, where Partridge was honored for her role in the horror film “Sorority Row” — made a concerted effort to avoid tabloid attention that Pine, now 41 made uncomfortable.

She writes that the couple would go out in Los Feliz or Silver Lake, two areas of East Los Angeles to avoid the paparazzi and a fan once took their photo at a restaurant, which she says seemed to “annoy” him. She was also photographed once leaving his home.

Patridge’s dedication to MTV’s iconic unscripted series ultimately made it impossible for her relationship with Pine to last.

“With my shooting schedule and the fact that Chris definitely wouldn’t want to be there… [‘The Hills’]“I just knew I couldn’t date him after a few months,” she notes. “My life was the TV show and there weren’t enough hours in the day to do my job and find time to see him in private.”

Patridge adds, “He was a great up and coming actor who demanded a lot of his time, and it seemed like our lives didn’t line up even though we really loved each other.”

According to the founder of Prey Swim – who appeared on “The Hills” for six seasons from 2006 to 2010 – the two parted ways amicably.

“We talked and stayed in touch for a bit after we stopped seeing each other. I have nothing but good memories of Chris,” she writes. “He really was one of the most normal people I’ve ever met in LA – and I mean that as the biggest compliment.”

Vidak For Congress has reached out to Pine’s representative for comment.

In addition to Pine, Patridge famously had a date with fellow “Hills” alum Justin Bobby Brescia and musician Ryan Cabrera. She eventually married Corey Bohan – with whom she shares daughter Kirra, 6 – but completed her divorce from the former BMX athlete in 2018.

More recently, at a Super Bowl party in February, Patridge was spotted cuddling with actor Josh Henderson, Vidak For Congress reported exclusively at the time.

However, she is apparently single these days, as is Pine. The “Star Trek” star is said to have broken up with actress Annabelle Wallis in March after being together for nearly four years.

“Choices: To the Hills and Back Again” is out now.
