Did anyone expect Jennifer Lopez to settle for one wedding dress?
The superstar married (again) Ben Affleck in an epic all-white wedding ceremony at the latter’s Georgia home on Aug. 20, wearing three Ralph Lauren dresses in one night.
Her first, which Lopez wore to walk down the aisle, was a dramatic short-sleeved look with more than 1,000 handkerchiefs and 500 yards of fabric cut into ruffles and hand-fastened around the skirt and turtleneck, according to Vogue.
For the reception, Lopez changed into not one but two glamorous looks, also from Ralph Lauren; one with cascading pearl strands, and the other with a mermaid silhouette and Swarovski crystal embellished keyhole neckline.
Thirty craftsmen hand-embroidered her pearl frock with micro-pleats of silk tulle, pearl embellishments and Swarovski crystal, while the third had a removable organza cap.
Lopez’s three dresses bring her total number of Affleck-related wedding dresses to five, as she previously wore an Alexander McQueen halter dress and a lace off-the-shoulder Zuhair Murad look to her wedding in Las Vegas in June.
The groom wore a white Ralph Lauren Couture tuxedo jacket, black slacks and a black bow tie — the outfit is strikingly similar, if not exactly the same, as what he wore to the Little White Chapel when the couple officially married — while his three children and J.Lo’s twins all matched up in white Ralph Lauren Couture looks.
Violet Affleck, 16, chose a gorgeous ball gown, while siblings Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10, chose a suit and tuxedo similar to those worn by Max and Emme Muñiz, respectively.
A-list guests all wore white in keeping with the theme of Saturday’s party, which was only the second event of the weekend, following a Friday welcome party and prior to a Sunday barbecue.
