Adrienne Bailon, Israel Houghton Welcomes First Baby Via Surrogate Mother

Adrienne Bailon and her husband, Israel Houghton, welcomed their first baby together via a surrogate mother.

The former co-host of The Real, 38, introduced her son Ever Tuesday with a black and white Instagram photo.

“Our baby boy is here and we are so in love!” the “Cheetah Girls” star sprang. “If you’ve followed our love story… you know that our journey to baby was quite a challenge. But God is faithful to His word and His promises.

“We’ve been praying quietly for the past nine months while we’re on this most magnificent secret,” the new mom continued. “He is worth every tear, every disappointment, every prayer postponed, every IVF cycle, every miscarriage. Everything.”

Bailon further thanked their “english surrogate”, concluding, “We’ve never been happier to lose sleep!”

In the sweet snap, the former Disney Channel star enjoyed skin-to-skin contact with her son as she and Houghton, 51, stared at the baby.

When the couple tied the knot in Paris in November 2016, the composer was already the father of four children from previous relationships: Mariah, Jordan, Milan and Israel.

In a March 2020 YouTube video, Mariah called Bailon the “perfect” addition to their family dynamic.

While Mariah’s dad and the Daytime Emmy winner tried to conceive a little one of their own, Bailon spoke candidly to the “real” audience about their struggles.

“It can be really discouraging and it can be really frustrating,” the “Masked Singer” alum said on a 2020 episode. “My wish for next year would be to start a family. That would be my biggest dream come true. I’ve always said I want to be a mother.”

Two years earlier, Bailon mentioned himself in an interview with OK!

“I tell myself, it’s not a matter of will I become a mother, it’s a matter of when,” she explained to the outlet. “And I promised myself I’ll stick to it [and] that it will happen.”
