The wife of Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles agent Matt Altman was arrested earlier this month for domestic violence, Vidak For Congress has learned exclusively.
Johanna Altman, 40, was booked into the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Jail Section in Van Nuys, California, around 9:30 p.m. local time on Aug. 4. Her bail was set at $50,000.
A spokesperson for the institution told us that she was released the next day.
“The loss of my wife’s father to COVID-19 is absolutely devastating for her and our entire family,” Matt told Vidak For Congress on Tuesday. “We have all struggled with this loss and went through a difficult time.”
He added: “We have never been more in love and bonded through this tragedy. We ask everyone to respect our privacy.”
In addition to his statement, Matt, 44, posted a family photo to his Instagram on Aug. 8, just days after Johanna was released from prison.
“Everyone is smiling in the same photo,” he captioned it, seemingly in an effort to show fans that despite the accident, all is well. “Anyone with 3 or more kids knows this isn’t easy.”
The couple, who have been married since August 2017, share 4-year-old twins Ashton and London, along with son Hudson, who will turn 3 in October.
Last Friday, Matt gushed about Johanna on the occasion of their fifth wedding anniversary.
“Happy 5th birthday @johanna_altman couldn’t imagine sharing life with anyone else,” he captioned a photo of their big day.
“5 years, 4 moves, 3 great kids, 2 people who share 1 heart. I love you xo #birthday.”
Johanna’s Instagram page doesn’t show that she posted for the couple’s anniversary – at least on her feed. Her latest post shows the two wearing bathing suits while in Mexico.
“Until we see you again Esperanza ☀️ #cabosanlucas #familyvacation,” she wrote on June 28.
Together, Matt and his brother Josh own and operate the high-end real estate company The Altman Brothers Team. According to their website, Johanna is also a real estate agent in LA but does not work for the company.
