Vicki Gunvalson collapsed when she found out that Bravo had asked her BFF Tamra Judge to return to “The Real Housewives of Orange County” for season 17 and not her.
“The immediate thing I did was cry,” Gunvalson, 60, said on E!’s “Daily Pop” Thursday, adding that she asked herself, “What does she have that I don’t?”
Gunvalson then noted that she acknowledges that she and Judge, 54, are “individual people” and pointed out that her boyfriend “will show her boobs,” but she doesn’t.
However, the insurance broker said that “beyond that” difference, she believes they make a good “Lucy and Ethel”-esque on-screen collaboration.
Gunvalson also admitted to having “FOMO,” which is an acronym for the “fear of missing out,” about her former employer’s decision.
“Obviously there’s something Bravo didn’t like about me, so I had to accept it,” she added.
Gunvalson, who was an original cast member when “RHOC” premiered in 2006 and remained on the show through 2020, said that weeks after news of Judge’s return dawned, she is now “naturally” excited for the former CUT Fitness -owner.
“I’d be a bad friend if I wasn’t,” she said.
Gunvalson, who last appeared in Peacock’s “Housewives” spin-off “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip,” also shared her thoughts on co-star Taylor Armstrong who was asked to join “RHOC” as well.
“I had no idea Taylor was auditioning for Orange County’s ‘Housewives,’ but that was on her mind the whole time,” she said.
Armstrong, who made her television debut in “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” was announced in early August as the first “Housewife” to traverse cities within the franchise. She will reportedly only be part of the show in a “friend of” role.
Armstrong and Judge, 51, star alongside “RHOC” veterans Heather Dubrow, Shannon Beador, Gina Kirschenheiter and Emily Simpson.
Season 17 has started filming, but a premiere date has not yet been announced.
