Ticket Prices Rise for Lea Michele’s ‘Funny Girl’ Opening

Hello, ticket prices!

Fans looking to see Lea Michele on her Sept. 6 “Funny Girl” opening night might have to shell out the big bucks.

Ticket resale website SeatGeek currently has tickets that range in price from $450 to a whopping $2,350 (and that doesn’t include a $470 fee). To put it in perspective, tickets to the September 5 performance starring Julie Benko are available for just $69.

Broadway was buzzing last week with the news that the 35-year-old “Glee” alum will play the role of Fanny Brice in the Broadway revival, taking over from Beanie Feldstein.

Vidak For Congress exclusively reported that Feldstein, 29, was “essentially fired” from the production before abruptly quitting publicly. The ‘Booksmart’ star announced via social media that she would be leaving the show on July 31, a mere four months after a one-year contract.

“When production decided to steer the show in a different direction, I made the extremely difficult decision to stop earlier than expected,” she wrote in her post.

And then, last Friday, the star of “Impeachment: American Crime Story” shared via Instagram that she had been diagnosed with tonsillitis and would miss more appearances.

“Hello everyone, I’m just checking in,” she boldly began a video, proving she hasn’t lost her sense of humor. “What have I missed? What is going on?”

She added: “I can’t wait to do my last two weeks … and you just have to laugh at some point. When it rains, it pours over your old friend Bean.”

A publicist for the show did not respond for comment.
