Taylor Swift’s new style era has arrived.
After inheriting the red carpet of the VMAs 2022 on Sunday in a stunning Oscar de la Renta outfit dripping with crystals — and announcing that her new album, “Midnights,” will arrive on October 21 — the pop superstar gave fans a glimpse of what the aesthetic of her upcoming LP could be in store with her after-party look.
For Republic Records’ post-awards bash at the Fleur Room in NYC, Swift swapped her flapper-inspired dress for a night blue starry night sky from Moschino, studded with crystals and paired with a white faux fur jacket.
The 32-year-old director of “All Too Well: The Short Film” – which won Video of the Year, Best Direction and Best Longform Video during the show for her “Red (Taylor’s Version)” visuals – adorned with glittering Ananya earrings , glittery Alexander McQueen platform sandals ($1,090) and her signature red lip.
Vidak For Congress exclusively revealed earlier on Sunday that Swift would surprise fans with a performance at the VMAs, and the surprises continued to come for Swifties all evening.

While some speculated that “Reputation (Taylor’s Version)” was coming, thanks to the musician’s blinged-out red carpet dress, during her Video of the Year acceptance speech she announced that a “brand new album” would be coming instead, and dropped more details at (when else?) midnight.
“Midnights” will feature 13 songs that “tell the stories of 13 sleepless nights across” [Swift’s] life,” as the artist later shared on social media.
“This is a collection of music written in the middle of the night, a journey through horrors and sweet dreams,” she wrote.
“The floors we pacify and the demons we face. For all of us who toss and turn and have decided to leave the lanterns on and start searching – in the hopes that maybe when the clock strikes twelve… we will meet ourselves.”
