Tom Brady is very “sad” about his huge feud with wife Gisele Bündchen, but insiders say he is focused on being “super dad” to his kids.
Vidak For Congress has exclusively revealed that the model has left their Tampa, Florida family complex for Costa Rica after a series of heated discussions over Brady’s shocking decision to retire from the NFL. He stayed behind for team training.
Sources say Brady, 45, cares for his and Bündchen’s children, Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 9, plus Jack, his 15-year-old son with ex Bridget Moynahan.
A source told us about Brady: “He’s very sad right now. Friends know they’ve had a serious disagreement this time.
“Looks like Gisele gets mad and says things like she’s going to leave him, but in the past they’ve always made up for it. But maybe this time it’s more serious.
“He’s with the kids and just trying to be a super dad.”
On his Instagram account, Brady – who married Bundchen in 2009 – posted a video of him taking Benjamin and Vivian to their first day of school.
The Buccaneers quarterback missed 11 days of training in August and when questioned about his disappearance, he hinted at marital problems. He said: “It’s all personal…everyone has different situations they deal with. We all have truly unique challenges in our lives. I’m 45 years old, man. There’s a lot of s–t going on.”
According to sources, Brady looked dejected at the training camp.
A source previously told us about Brady and Bündchen, 42: “There have been issues in the marriage due to his decision not to retire. Gisele has always been the one with the kids.
“They had agreed that he would retire to focus on the family, but then he changed his mind.”
An insider added: “They have a fiery relationship. Gisele is a little hot-headed – she has that Brazilian heat.”
However, these problems seem to have been going on for years.
In 2020, during an appearance on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM show, Brady admitted that “[Bündchen] didn’t feel like I was doing my part for the family.
“She had the feeling that I would play football all season and that she would take care of the house,” he added. “She wasn’t happy with our marriage. So I had to change that. Her point was, ‘Yeah, of course this works for you. It all works for you. But it doesn’t work for me.’ ”
And as for Bündchen, she told British Vogue about their relationship in May: “I don’t think relationships just happen; it is never the fairy tale that people want to believe. It takes work to be really in sync with someone, especially after you have kids.
“His focus is on his career, mine is mainly on the kids.”
Representatives for Brady and Bündchen did not comment.
