Let alone jail time. It’s party time.
Just before a special grand jury in Atlanta investigating attempts by former President Donald Trump and others to undo his 2020 election defeat in Georgia, Rudy Giuliani went to the club for a birthday party.
The disgraced former mayor was spotted last week at Times Square Bar Halswell Green’s for the birthday party of Lauren Conlin, a veteran radio station that also hosts the “Lauren Interviews” and “Millennials Revealed” podcast.
A source tells us that Trump’s former attorney with his girlfriend, Dr. Maria Ryan, listening to house band Big Woozy.
“People were actually excited about him,” says a surprised onlooker. “It was a bit disappointing. There was some commotion when he arrived and when someone asked him for a photo, a lot of people wanted a photo. I think it probably felt like it used to be to him.”
Another source tells us that someone even told him to run again.
Giuliani has been in a seemingly bottomless downward spiral in recent years, not that he is bothered by it. A source notes that he was even dancing at the event.
In August, Giuliani’s ex-wife Judith sued him for owing her more than a quarter of a million dollars under the terms of their divorce agreement. Judith’s lawyer Dror Bikel claimed in court documents that Rudy could be detained with contempt of court for allegedly skipping payment.
“[His] failure to appear in court could result in immediate arrest or imprisonment for contempt of court,” the newspapers say.
Giuliani’s license has been suspended in both New York and the District of Columbia. He is also facing ethical charges from the DC bar for allegedly making false election claims, and Dominion Voting Systems — which supplied voting machines for the 2020 election that he claims were tampered with — has sued him for $1.3 billion.
Last year, federal agents raided his home and office as part of an investigation into whether he had asked Ukrainian officials to help unearth information about Hunter Biden.
He also recently claimed that a ShopRite employee assaulted him, but from CCTV footage of the incident, it looked more like a hearty pat on the back.
