Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian are both sorry their nine-month romance fell through, according to multiple sources.
The pair are still in touch as Davidson, 28, continues to shoot the movie “Wizards!” in Australia, while Kardashian, 41, is back in the US, we’re told.
A senior source told Vidak For Congress: “Pete knew it wouldn’t work. He’d been saying it for a while and Kim knew it too.
“The distance was a big thing, and next month Pete starts recording his new show in NYC and he’s going to be busy with that.”
Davidson will soon begin filming his new show, “Bupkis,” which will produce “Saturday Night Live” honcho Lorne Michaels for the Peacock streamer. It is loosely based on the actor’s life and Edie Falco will play his mother.
As Vidak For Congress revealed, the former couple’s age difference and the fact that Kardashian has to live in Los Angeles with her four children also played a role in the split.
A source who knows them both added: “They are both sorry it didn’t work out.”
However, according to another source, Davidson is enjoying himself while working in Australia.
He was pictured playing basketball in Far North Queensland just after the split news broke Friday night.
Apparently being on the other side of the world helped Davidson put things in perspective.
“Pete has been able to relax in Australia and really be himself, there haven’t been that many paparazzi,” said another source.
“He needed some time to himself and Australia allowed him.”
