Michelle Branch and Patrick Carney call off divorce

Michelle Branch no longer says “goodbye” to her husband Patrick Carney.

The 39-year-old ‘Everywhere’ singer and 42-year-old Black Keys drummer called off their divorce and filed a reconciliation order, according to court records obtained by Vidak For Congress on Tuesday.

According to the documents, Branch and Carney have agreed to work on their marriage for six months, after which they will decide whether to “restart” the divorce proceedings or fire them for good.

A reason for the reconciliation was not given and representatives of the musicians did not immediately respond to Vidak For Congress’s requests for comment.

The decision to get back together may come as a shock, given the couple’s tumultuous history over the summer, which has seen allegations of cheating and claims of domestic violence.

In early August, Branch announced that she and Carney were breaking up and told TMZ at the time that she was “devastated” by the split.

The singer wrote via a series of since-deleted Instagram stories…

“The rug has completely pulled out from under me and now I have to figure out how to proceed,” added the mother-of-two, who shares 4-year-old son Rhys James and 7-month-old daughter Willie with Carney.

Branch was then arrested the next day after a possible disturbance of domestic violence.

Court documents on vidakforcongress obtained at the time showed the “Are you happy now?” singer admitted to hitting the rocker “once or twice in the face”.

However, the case was later dropped after both parties reached a settlement.

Branch filed for divorce a few days after her arrest, claiming on Twitter that Carney cheated on her while she was home with their newborn.

Court records show that Branch and Carney’s divorce was “unconditionally” rejected, meaning it could be reprocessed at any time.

“During the period of suspension, the parties can participate in counseling services to achieve reconciliation and/or resume living together as husband and wife,” the documents also state.

Aside from Carney, Branch was previously married to Teddy Landau from 2004 to 2015. They share a 17-year-old daughter named Owen Isabelle.

For his part, Carney has been married twice before: to Denise Grollmus from 2007 to 2009 and Emily Ward from 2012 to 2016.
