Libbie Mugrabi ‘lost $500K in clothes, jewelry’ in robbery

New York socialite Libbie Mugrabi, who reportedly won a whopping $100 million in her 2020 divorce, is said to have had a fur coat in Ibiza last week.

Mugrabi was staying in a four-bedroom villa in Six Senses Ibiza when, she claims, her suite was broken into and thieves stole $500,000 worth of clothing and jewelry.

From July 14, Mugrabi was on the Spanish island to shoot a lifestyle segment for the German television channel RTL. On July 15, she reported her wallet missing from the hotel, although she said it was later found in her villa. Days later, when she was packing to leave, she discovered she had been robbed, she said.

“My entire jewelry box containing $200,000 worth of jewelry, including pieces from Cartier, was gone,” Mugrabi, 42, told The Post. “I bought a lot of things from Balenciaga in Paris, including tiny bikinis, and those things were all gone. They took $60,000 worth of personal belongings and one of my crocodile shoes. Worst of all, they left two prototypes of my f–king diamond hats stole … trucker hats with black diamonds in them that I designed. They are very difficult to make. All things considered, I was robbed of half a million dollars worth of items. They even stole my dry cleaner. a brand name was stolen and not returned.”

The situation was aggravated, Mugrabi said, as her assistant was not available to look after her belongings in the first place.

“My assistant jumped off a yacht in St. Tropez and broke his foot. He was in pain and the doctor came in to give him injections of tramadol, the European equivalent of morphine. Not sure if you should get it if you’re not in a hospital setting. But that didn’t get him out.”

Two days after arriving in Ibiza, Mugrabi flew in her boyfriend, the rapper and creator of Barstool Sports content, Tiko Texas, for “female support,” but Tiko said she was having trouble at the resort herself.

“They didn’t believe I was with Libbie, so they took my passport and my luggage. I fell to the ground and burst into tears because it was my first time in Europe and I didn’t know if I’d be stuck in Ibiza or not,” said Tiko, probably unaware that it’s common for hotels in Europe to hand over passports. control or even hold. “I had an anxiety attack.”

When Mugrabi discovered the robbery on July 20, she said she reported the incident to the front desk, but a representative told her, “You are mistaken.”

“I told them bathing suits and trucker caps don’t have legs,” she said. “I asked them to call the police and they pretended not to understand me.”

At that time Mugrabi said she wanted to file a report with the police and the police were called.

“The police came in and said, ‘Now give us your passport,'” she said. ‘I said, ‘For what?’ The hotel manager said if they ask for it you should give it. I did it because I was afraid. I said to file a report with the police. They said if I want to make it, I have to go with them to the police station. I said, ‘I don’t want that. I am fine.’ I asked for my passport back and they gave it back to me.”

David Arraya, a representative of Six Senses, where villas like the one Mugrabi stayed at go for $4,600 a night, told The Post: “The police were called at the request of Ms Mugrabi to investigate. When the police arrived, as part of the process to open an investigation they asked for the guest’s passport Ms Mugrabi handed her passport to the police as requested and then refused a formal inquiry The guest declined to proceed with a formal claim and checked out and left the premises.”

Tiko Texas told The Post that tensions ran high during the check-out. “Libbie wouldn’t pay until she got her stuff back. Then the hotel called the police,” she said. “That was the craziest sh-t I’ve ever seen. I didn’t know millionaires went through shit like that.”

Mugrabi, a major donor to the Victoria and Albert Museum’s Fashion in Motion program, eventually paid her bill and has since flown to Cannes in the south of France.

She recently said she discovered $140,000 in fraudulent charges on her Chase Sapphire credit card, which was in her wallet when it disappeared at the hotel. She said she reported the allegations to Chase.

When asked why she didn’t call the police in Ibiza herself from the start, she replied: ‘I don’t know how to call the police in Spain. You don’t just call 911, do you?’
