Landon Barker admits it’s been a rough few days for his mental health.
“My derealization has been really bad and I just want to come here and tell everyone that you… [sic] not alone and we are all imperfect in our own way,” Travis Barker’s 18-year-old son wrote via his Instagram Stories early Wednesday.
“I love you. #mentalhealth awareness.”
The teen, who wore a black turtleneck sweater and silver jewelry in a photo accompanying the caption, went on to share multiple images.
The first described derealization as a “relatively common” symptom of anxiety, with a number of telltale signs.
“Your limbs feel strange,” the Instagram post read in part.
“Things don’t feel real. Your face looks weird in the mirror. The feeling of being detached from reality. Feeling disconnected from your body. Things feel like they’re moving in slow motion.”
The rest of the re-shared images described OCD and clarified that the mental illness is not a “pleasant … personality quirk” but an “intrusive and disturbing” disorder.
The teen recently made headlines for his relationship with TikTok star Charli D’Amelio and his father’s marriage to Kourtney Kardashian.
A month after news broke that Landon and D’Amelio, also 18, were dating, they made it Instagram official with a PDA photo.
The dancer gushed about how “lovable” her boyfriend is during a conversation with Entertainment Tonight in July.
“I think it was very difficult for a long time,” the “D’Amelio Show” star said of dating in the public eye. “But now I’m living life first and thinking about what people are going to say next.”
