Lance Armstrong marries fiance Anna Hansen in France

Lance Armstrong married her longtime love Anna Hansen in France, the couple announced on social media.

The former professional cyclist shared several snaps from their wedding at Château La Coste, surrounded by friends and family, and described the celebration as the “best day ever”.

“Married the love of my life @annahansenarmstrong. So special that our children are there too. It was an evening of laughter and many tears of joy,” Armstrong, 50, began his long caption.

Armstrong and Hansen, 41, began dating in 2008 and became engaged in 2017. They experienced turbulent times when the athlete was famously stripped of his seven Tour de France crowns after admitting to taking performance-enhancing drugs.

“Anna, you’ve been my absolute rock for the past 14 years and let me be clear, I wouldn’t have survived them without you,” he gushed.

The founder of the Livestrong Foundation continued gushing about his new bride and the people they “have become” writing, “It took us the work, the real hard work, and I’m so glad we did. I love you dearly and will always be there for you and our family.”

Armstrong concluded his message by thanking their “best friend” for leading the ceremony, as well as their photographer for capturing their “beautiful memories.”

“Hope you all have an excellent summer – I’m sure,” he wrote.

The couple shares two children together. Armstrong shares three more children with his first wife, Kristin Richard.

Hansen shared the same batch of photos on her Instagram account, but added an additional shot of a latte to her story, writing, “A perfect elopement.”
