Kathy Lee Gifford doesn’t want to mess it up.
The 69-year-old recently revealed that she is still going strong with a “special” man, but gave no hints about his mysterious identity.
“I have a very special someone in my life,” she told People on Monday. “I have discovered that by not talking about it, it remains special.”
While not much is known about Gifford’s special someone, the couple seems to have started dating more than a year ago.
In April 2021, the former ‘Today’ presenter revealed that she had a ‘very special relationship with someone’ and described their budding romance as ‘fun, fun and healthy’.
“It’s just happy, and I don’t want to mess it up, and I probably already have it by even mentioning it,” Gifford said on an episode of the NBC morning show. “To be in a place where you feel that every aspect of your life is good, that nothing is missing, that’s a beautiful place to be. I am just so grateful.”
She went on to say that her beauty is “the smartest person” [she’s] ever met, and he’s funny.”
The former “Live” co-host was married to Frank Gifford for nearly three decades, from 1986 until his death in 2015. She shares son Cody, 32, and daughter Cassidy, 29 with the former NFL star.
In October 2020, the mother of two revealed that she was ready to start dating again, but had no desire to find love through an online dating platform.
“When people ask me, ‘Are you looking for love?’ my attitude has to be, well, I’m not actively looking for it. I can’t go on websites, and you know, dating apps and all that sort of thing,” she told her longtime boyfriend Jill Martin in her special at the time. Holiday Steals and Deals’ on Peacock.
While it’s unclear how the couple met, the former talk show star appears smitten.
