Kanye West wants Jamie Foxx to play him in a movie

With no movie deal in the works, Kanye West has already cast a lead role.

The rapper, who has been at the center of yet another controversy this week, revealed he wants Jamie Foxx to play him if a movie is ever made about his life.

One of the hitmaker’s “Jesus Walks” many Instagram posts this week included one asking his 17.9 million followers who should play him in a “Ye Movie.”

The pair worked together several times during their respective glittering careers, with their first connection in 2003 for Foxx and Twista’s “Slow Jamz” and for the 2005 song “Gold Digger”.

Also in 2005, West was a guest on Foxx’s song “Extravaganza”.

West praised Foxx as “one of the greatest geniuses” in the entertainment industry. Foxx won an Oscar and a Golden Globe honor in the Best Actor category for his portrayal of Ray Charles in the drama ‘Ray’.

It comes as West this week cruelly mocked Gabriella Karefa-Johnson’s style choices for disapproving of his widely condemned merchandise, which included “White Lives Matter” T-shirts.

Front row guest Jaden Smith immediately left the show when he saw the designs. West was subsequently criticized by a phalanx of journalists, activists and public figures.

Supermodel Gigi Hadid is one of his most notable opponents. She taunted West as she defended Vogue editor Gabriella Karefa-Johnson in a heated Instagram comment.

“You wish you had a percentage of her intellect. You have no idea haha…If there really is a point to one of your s–ts, she may be the only person who can save you,” Hadid, 27, wrote under a post West shared.

Vogue eventually shared a statement in support of their collaborator.

“Vogue sits alongside Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, our global fashion editor at large and long-time contributor. She was personally attacked and bullied. It is unacceptable,” the magazine wrote.

“Now more than ever, voices like hers are needed and in a private meeting with Ye today, she once again spoke her truth in the way she felt best, on her terms.”
