Kanye West and Kim Kardashian may be divorced, but the rapper still wants to style his ex.
West, who recently sparked outrage by including “White Lives Matter” t-shirts in his latest Yeezy show, apparently wasn’t a fan of Kardashian’s February Milan Fashion Week ensembles.
On Thursday’s episode of Hulu’s “The Kardashians,” the 41-year-old founder of Skims shared some critical text messages from West with her team.
In addition to slamming the white Prada sunglasses she paired with an all-black latex look, West, 45, had a particular struggle with Kardashian’s shiny oversized jumpsuit from the brand.
“The orange look made me so mad, I would have gone to jail before I got in,” West wrote in a text message, according to Kardashian.
Despite her ex’s harsh words, the mother of four didn’t seem to take much offense.
“While we are here in Milan, Kanye has the kids at home and he can’t help it. We can laugh at things we like or dislike. No matter how crazy things are sometimes, we’ll always be family,” she said in a confessional, adding that in return she makes fun of West’s outfits.
“I’ll text him back and say, ‘You know, you’ve been wearing those boots for a long time, so when you’re ready to change your outfit, let me know and you can get some advice on mine.’ ”
West famously overhauled Kardashian’s wardrobe when the couple started dating in 2012 and dressed her up throughout their relationship.
After the duo split in early 2021, Kardashian admitted she had “panic attacks” without West as her stylist. The rapper, for his part, had apparently told his ex that he wanted to “stop everything and dedicate his life” to dressing her.
He certainly hasn’t been a fan of some of her post-divorce duds; after Kardashian paired a leather Fendi x Skims dress with matching gloves for WSJ. At Magazine’s 2021 Innovator Awards, West compared the look to something Marge Simpson could wear.
