Justin Bieber Postpones Two NYC Shows Because of Ramsay Hunt Syndrome

Justin Bieber postpones two concerts in New York City – scheduled for Monday and Tuesday – following his diagnosis of Ramsay Hunt syndrome.

“Due to Justin’s ongoing medical condition, this week’s Justice Tour shows at Madison Square Garden in New York City will be postponed,” said a post shared on the venue’s Instagram page on Sunday.

“Justin is receiving the best medical care possible and is determined to resume the tour as soon as he and the doctors feel he is able to continue. Details on the rescheduled MSG shows will be made public shortly.”

The 28-year-old singer’s wife, Hailey Bieber, shared the message in her Story and added several white heart emojis.

While the 25-year-old model has not yet spoken publicly about Justin’s ongoing health struggles, she also reposted his announcement on Friday.

“I wanted to keep you guys updated on what’s going on,” Justin said in the video. “Obviously, as you can probably tell from my face, I have this syndrome called Ramsay Hunt syndrome and it’s from this virus that attacks the nerve in my ear and my facial nerves and has left my face paralyzed. “

According to the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, Ramsay Hunt syndrome first appears as a rash around the ear, on the face, or on the mouth. The varicella-zoster virus can then infect a nerve in the head, causing paralysis.

“As you can see, this eye doesn’t blink,” Justin demonstrated at the time. “I can’t smile on this side of my face. This nostril won’t move, so there’s complete paralysis on it [right side] side of my face.

“So for those frustrated with my cancellations of the following shows, I’m clearly physically unable to do them,” he continued. “This is pretty serious, as you can see. I wish this wasn’t the case, but obviously my body is telling me to slow down.”

However, the Grammy winner told fans he plans to rest as much as possible and focus on getting back to “100 percent.”

“I’m getting better and I’m doing all these facial exercises to get my face back to normal and it will go back to normal,” the “Baby” singer assured his followers.

“It’s just time and we don’t know how much time it will be, but it’s going to be okay. I have hope and I trust in God and I trust that all this is for a reason.”

A friend who was close to the singer then told Vidak For Congress that those who are close to the songwriter know that he will get well soon.

“Bieber will be fine,” the insider said. “He will recover.”

In March, Hailey herself experienced a health scare when she was hospitalized after a blood clot reached her brain and she developed “stroke-like symptoms.”

She said she was “recovering really well” after heart surgery in an April YouTube video.

Hailey and Justin tied the knot in September 2018 after getting engaged in July of that year, just a month after rekindling their on-again, off-again relationship.
