Jessica Simpson is being called out on social media about her 3-year-old sucking a pacifier on photos taken from their lake vacation, with followers giving their unsolicited opinions about the toddler holding the soothing object.
“Birds a little old for a binkie, don’t you think?” asked one follower.
“Pacifier??🙄🤦🏻♀️” commented another.
“Is that a pacifier!?????” asked an apparently concerned follower.
“Passy has to go… It’s ruining their teeth so much,” claimed another follower who isn’t a dentist. “My Boyfriend Finds Out He” [sic] child has major dental problems.”
While some disagreed with Simpson’s parenting decision, others defended the “Newlyweds” alum, 42, against the haters who also shouted the look of her lips.
“I sincerely hope Jess doesn’t read the disgusting comments here. It must be soul-destroying when your photos are picked online by strangers,” wrote one fan. “And before anyone starts with the oh, she’s a public figure, NO that doesn’t give you a free pass to say horrible things, she’s human, this is her space and we don’t know anything about her personal life apart from what she decides to share.”
Simpson declined to comment on her photos, opting to focus on her birthday and how much she’s changed over the years in a follow-up Instagram post dedicated to herself.
“I am very proud of my faith, resilience and strength over the past 4 decades,” she wrote. “…I know myself and I love her very much. I know my purpose and I must say that ladies and gentlemen I am equipped to waltz into every dream I own with confidence. I am humbled and honored to finally be my own best friend.”
