He’s come a long way from the puffy shirt.
Jerry Seinfeld is the face of Kith’s fall 2022 campaign, the streetwear brand announced Tuesday.
The comic legend, 68, posed for photographer Mark Seliger in looks including a floral fleece, paisley set and Mets cap paired with Kith’s classic varsity jacket.
The fall collection also features several collaborations, including capsules developed with Russell Athletic for The City University of New York (CUNY), Queens College and Brooklyn College.
The move to have Seinfeld as the face of the line is all too fitting, as he graduated from Queens College in 1976.
Seinfeld’s fans flooded the internet with excited comments about seeing the star on the hypebeast train.
“I’M OBSESSEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDay from!!!!!! You really set the bar so high yoooo omg 😭😩!!!!!!!” one person responded to Kith’s post, while a second called Seinfeld “The greatest new yorker.”
“I’d love to hear his comments on this ,” one joked.
“Larry David next 🗣,” suggested another.
“Okay, but why am I suddenly in love with Jerry Seinfeld ,” added another.
Although Seinfeld is known more for his humor than for what he wears, this isn’t his first fashion campaign. The comedian, who is now worth $50 million, made his modeling debut as the face of Rag & Bone’s menswear collection in 2014.
Among the other collaborations in Kith’s fall collection? The latest installment of 8th St by Ronnie Fieg for Clarks Originals footwear, exclusive colorways from Kith of New Balance Made in USA Styles, headwear featuring New Era, homewares featuring DS & Durga and more, per press release.
Among the new collaborations and original classics, Kith’s latest range also includes Italian leather looks with a tailored paisley pattern, mohair leopard print cardigans, hybrid jackets in crinkled nylon with color block, woven chenille jackets and trousers with multiple stripes and an assortment sherpa outerwear.
Double-knit suits, satin varsity jackets and an assortment of heavyweight fleece sets are also up for grabs as part of Kith’s Fall Classics collection.
Goods drop this Friday in all Kith stores, Kith.com and EU.Kith.com.
