Worth the wait.
For her wedding to Ben Affleck in Las Vegas last week, Jennifer Lopez wore not one, but two gorgeous wedding dresses.
And one of her looks for the big day, an Alexander McQueen sleeveless white dress in floral jacquard, had been waiting in the superstar’s closet for a truly special occasion.
“I’ve had this dress for so many years, and I just kept it, kept it, kept it, and now I’m wearing it on my wedding day,” shared Lopez, 52, in a video included in The Sunday Edition of her On The JLo- newsletter confirming the marriage.
People was the first to report that the “Waiting for Tonight” hitmaker had pulled McQueen’s design out of her closet to tie the knot with Affleck, 49. Gathered Full Skirt.
In her newsletter, Lopez shared that she was wearing “a dress from an old movie” down the aisle in the Little White Wedding Chapel; it is not known which film she was referring to.
The ‘Marry Me’ star’s other bridal look was an off-the-shoulder lace dress from Zuhair Murad featuring long sleeves, a sweetheart neckline, corset bodice and fishtail train. Lopez paired it with a matching lace-edged veil and bouquet.
Affleck, meanwhile, wore a white tuxedo from his own closet to say, “I do.”
But these won’t be Bennifer’s last wedding looks: As a source tells Vidak For Congress, the couple are planning a multi-day party for friends and family to celebrate their union, which doubles as Lopez’s 53rd birthday party.
According to our source, the couple would like to hold the event sometime in the next two weeks for “everyone they love but couldn’t invite” to their Vegas wedding, which was attended only by their children.
