Isaiah Campbell plans to ask Sydney Paight to be his girlfriend on tonight’s episode of ‘Love Island USA’ after being called out for comparing her to ‘natural beauty’ Phoebe Siegel.
“I just don’t know how to proceed,” Paight tells Campbell in the exclusive preview of Vidak For Congress, suggesting the diss is too painful to pass up.
“Am I going to end it before I get even more attached than I already am and just get hurt again?” she asks her husband.
“Sydney, you mean a lot to me and I would never really compare you to anything else,” he responds, regretting what he said behind Paight’s back.
Paight was made aware of Campbell’s comment during a recent game revealing viewer feedback – and their scathing views on social media – to the islanders.
“It would suck for Sydney to find out Isaiah compared her to Phoebe’s ‘natural beauty’,” a tweet read, prompting Paight to gain momentum.
Paight previously forgave Campbell for a brief reconnection with Siegel, but realized he’d made a mistake amid Casa Amor’s temptation.
“And I didn’t talk bad about you,” the gorgeous redhead tells Campbell in our clip, her face full of tears. ‘But you clearly have. It just hurts.”
Paight admits in a confession that she has to “sleep on everything” before making a decision on how to proceed with Campbell.
Meanwhile, the handsome waiter model hopes to take their relationship to the next level.
“Tonight is going to be a big night for me,” he tells castmates Timmy Pandolfi and Jesse Bray. “I also wanted you to help me make Sydney my girlfriend.”
Next, the boys see pink rose petals placed around the villa as Paight ponders what awaits him.
“I think something will happen tonight,” she says as she gets ready with her friends. “I’m just not sure what.”
Campbell tells the camera that he wants to show Paight that he is “invested” in their connection and strives to be “the man”. [he] should be” for her.
“I am very nervous. I will show Sydney that she is my everything,” he adds. “This is a huge moment.”
“Love Island USA” — hosted by Sarah Hyland — is available to stream on Peacock. New episodes air Tuesday through Sunday at 9 p.m. ET.
