In the LA house where Britney Spears married Kevin Federline

Buying this Los Angeles home is much more than just a constraint, it comes with a serious celebrity marriage history.

Located at 4053 Farmdale Ave. in the affluent Colfax Meadows neighborhood of Studio City, this five-bedroom property—recently listed for $3.19 million—is where Britney Spears and Kevin Federline tied the knot in a surprise ceremony on Sept. 18, 2004, The Post has learned.

Spears and Federline didn’t live there. Instead, their wedding planner, Alyson Fox, called it home.

Spears and Federline had planned a lavish October affair at the Bacara resort in Santa Barbara, but quickly changed plans when the date and location leaked to the press. In an effort to avoid paparazzi attention, Fox helped the now-former couple organize surprise “I dos” that took place in front of her living room’s bay window.

“The sellers made the house look beautiful,” Fox told Time in 2014, reflecting on the event’s 10th anniversary. “It was so beautiful.”

To this day, the house remains a stunner. At 3,898 square feet, it includes oak floors, formal living and dining rooms – plus a just-renovated kitchen with a walk-in closet and breakfast area. Listing images show a wide entrance, an office with a coffered ceiling, and fireplaces elsewhere. It is also described in the list as ‘an entertainer’s delight’, which is true when you look at the past.

Guests at the wedding that day — including Spears’ now-estranged immediate family members: father Jamie, mother Lynne, brother Bryan and sister Jamie Lynn Spears — had no idea they would be witnessing the nuptials.

The couple – whose divorce was eventually finalized in 2007 – told guests they were just celebrating their summer engagement; Spears proposed to Federline while on a plane trip in June 2004 during her Onyx Hotel Tour.

“I only wish they could have had more people… Everyone who came in that night, we handed them an invitation, they opened it and it said, ‘Surprise! You’re here for the wedding, not the engagement party,” Fox added. “And we would point them to the room where they would put on their dresses and tuxedos…”

Fox did not respond to The Post’s request for comment at press time. Ownership records show that Jeff Fox, who appears to be her husband, bought the house in 1993 for $335,000 — or about $696,000 in today’s dollars. Both Jeff and Alyson’s names appear in a 2006 deed when they sold the spread for $2.08 million, or $3.11 million today. Redfin shows the property has been owned three times since 2006, most recently selling for $2.2 million in May 2017, or $2.66 million in today’s numbers.

The agency, which represents the list, declined to comment on the wedding. Listing agent Ingrid Sacerio, through a spokesperson for the brokerage, highlighted the features mentioned in the marketing materials. “4053 Farmdale… is a timeless traditional style and sophistication due in large part to esteemed architect Richard Olander. The house has … inviting interiors with the best finishes and an enchanting garden that is perfect for entertaining,” she said.

In the finale of Spears and Federline’s UPN reality series “Chaotic,” they explained why they ended up exchanging vows at home.

“She wanted it to be more for me and her than the whole world… we toned it down within two weeks. We’ve narrowed it down to about 30 guests,” Federline said.

Spears added: “I was like, ‘Let’s just do something really small, quick and fun.’ ”

To keep a close eye on their upcoming nuptials, Monique Lhullier’s employees thought they’d come to Fox’s house to try on the final wedding dress, florists were told they were coming for a photo shoot — and the cake seller was impressed. that Spears and Federline have a tasting at home.

“It was cool,” Spears said. “I didn’t even know what her house looked like. I just trusted everything and then I walked in and I thought, ‘Oh my God, it’s perfect.’

The house was covered with white curtains, thousands of roses, and countless candles. The backyard was a tent, lit by trees full of twinkling lights.

“It was really cool because in such a small environment you wouldn’t think anyone could do something so beautiful,” Spears said. “It was really really sweet and a lot of fun.”
