Enough is enough.
Garcelle Beauvais’ son, Jax, speaks out after receiving “racist” comments from “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” fans amid his mother’s feud with Lisa Rinna, Erika Jayne and Diana Jenkins.
Beauvais shared her 14-year-old’s statement on her Instagram Story Wednesday after making his account private.
“From Jax… Well, I’d like to start by saying I’m still a kid and don’t want to be seen as a full grown adult because I’m not,” his statement began. “It’s currently my first week in high school and instead of enjoying it like most kids at my school, I’m dealing with social media attacks.”
The teen noted that he “didn’t sign on this show, nor do I have anything to do with the drama of the show.”
“I just want to be a normal kid,” he pleaded, before adding that his Instagram account isn’t for “publicity or the look of the public, but to be seen” by his peers as an ordinary kid.
Despite not wanting to make his Instagram page private, he was forced out after “middle-aged women” spammed him with “racist and rude comments” about his family.
“Thank you for all the positive responses. It really means a lot to me,” he concludes.
Bravo was also forced to release a statement on Wednesday, which read: “We are shocked and appalled at the social comments directed at Garcelle’s son.
“We urge our viewers and social media followers not to target our cast and their families with harmful rhetoric.”
Yesterday, Jax shared some of the comments he received on his most recent post, which ranged from calling his family “immigrants” to accusing Beauvais of “using race for everything”.
Many of the comments were directed at his 31-year-old brother, Oliver, who previously struggled with addiction.
“Your mom calls Erika [an] alcoholic when your older brother was addicted to drugs. Pot calls the kettle black,” read one message.
“Why is your mother obsessed with Erika’s drinking, shouldn’t she be worried about your brother Oliver?[‘s] taking drugs instead?” another user wrote.
However, one particular comment went too far as the person wrote: “You’d drop your neck on your knees if it weren’t for your white father, [Michael Nilon]. Tell your mother to leave Diana alone or deal with us.’
Earlier that same day, Beauvais reprimanded social media users for their cruel comments.
“I’m usually a very strong woman. I was raised to be strong, my life taught me to be strong, but when it comes to my kids!” the reality star tweeted. “It hurts that it’s not okay.
“I’ve been in tears all night. It’s just a TV show where people yell at your TV, throw something at your TV, but leave our kids alone,” she continued.
Rinna also spoke out via Instagram Stories, telling fans to “leave the kids alone!”
The former model wrote: “What was just sent to me about @garcelle’s son is disgusting and unacceptable. … They didn’t sign up for this. What are [you] doing?! The kids – all our kids should be off limits, so stop now. Enough is enough.”
Despite their feud, the two women managed to get together to get their message across.
