French Montana says his upcoming album will name Kanye West — after knocking that the pair “killed” the Kardashian “curse.”
“There are a few details about Kanye West,” he told Vidak For Congress exclusively on Wednesday during the premiere of Jennifer Lopez’s Netflix documentary, “Halftime.”
The new album, titled ‘Montega’, will be released on June 24 and will feature Montana’s latest single ‘Alcatraz’. In the track, the 37-year-old rapper claimed that the “Figure It Out” collaborators had broken the famous Kardashian family curse.
“I feel like Ye from the car accident,” he patted the track. “Feel like Ye, for me and Ye killed the curse of the Kardash.”
The term — which clearly has no scientific backing — is used to describe the misfortune that follows men who date the Kardashian-Jenner sisters.
Montana dated Khloé Kardashian occasionally from 2014 to 2016, while West split from Kim Kardashian in 2021 after a seven-year marriage.
“He’s never at work,” French said of West, 45, when Vidak For Congress asked why his friend had been quieter than usual in recent weeks.
“He just likes to be tucked away until he’s done with his creation, and then he presents it to the world.”
The “No Stylist” chart topper also joked that the “Gold Digger” rapper would launch his own social media platform after being booted from Instagram in March for posting a racist statement against Trevor Noah.
“They have suspended my dawg Kanye from instagram that he is about to create his own social media platform,” Montana tweeted at the time.
While West has been relatively low-key lately, he released a new song last month rapping about his ongoing custody battle with Skims founder.
“Wait, when you see the kids? I’ll see you tomorrow / Wait, when the sun goes down? See you tomorrow/ Wait, when I pick them up I feel like they borrowed,” he rapped on “True Love,” featuring the late XXXTentacion.
You continued: “If I have to return them scan them like a barcode / Wait, no hard feelings, but these feelings are hard / Wait, who’s got the kids in that ‘What are those?'”
He and Kim, 41, share four children: North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3.
