While Jennifer Lopez was in marital bliss with Ben Affleck over the weekend, her boyfriend and former music collaborator Fat Joe had a celebrity birthday party at Brooklyn Chop House Times Square.
Co-owner Don Pooh closed the roof off the restaurant for the rapper’s 52nd birthday. The menu featured chicken and lobster satays, rock shrimp tempura, pastrami dumplings, and more—though we hear a special request for “chicken wonton soup” was made especially for the Bronx rapper.
Jay Z’s ace of spades was provided, while Pepsi sponsored the over-the-top dinner and birthday cake.
A source told Vidak For Congress that the ‘Lean Back’ artist ‘grabbed the microphone and literally spent an hour telling stories in the room. He called Busta [Rhymes] up, which roasted the best in the industry with its deep raspy Jamaican patois. Ashanti, Remy Ma and Busta shared untold hilarious and heartfelt stories about Fat Joe.”
In a “prolonged but loving speech,” the Bronx resident declared, “Everything here is excellence. The evening featured impromptu performances by Rhymes, Jim Jones, Ashanti, Mary J. Blige, Remy Ma, Julez Santana and Styles P.
