In a plot twist straight out of a crime novel, Elizabeth Chambers appears to have teamed up with House of Effie to try and take down her estranged husband, Armie Hammer.
Effie, the pseudonym for the woman behind the now-famous Instagram who first leveled sexual misconduct allegations against Hammer, shared text messages purportedly sent by Chambers showing that Bird Bakery founder pressured Effie to to sue the “Call Me by Your Name” star so she could get full custody of their two children, Harper and Ford.
In an alleged text she shared on her Instagram account, Effie, who later accused Hammer of raping her, told Chambers she was feeling “a little suicidal” and had “no time” to talk to Chambers.
“I really need custody of my precious children,” Chambers is said to have said at one point. ‘Do you think you can file a tax return this week? It will all be private…”
She added: “I don’t want to pressure you, but your insight is much more profound than the others we have.
In separate messages, Chambers, 40, reportedly texted Effie that she needed Hammer, 36, to leave the Cayman Islands – where he had holed up during the scandal – because he was “a risk” to their children.
“He hasn’t even seen the kids, f–king everyone who walks and laughs at a new blonde at his dads [sic] boat,” she is said to have written. “I forced him to come here by court order to try to be a father and now he is a risk to them. He has to go.”
The “Game Plan” actress went on to claim that the “Social Network” star “should be locked up” for “hurting people.”
“Again, I don’t want to pressure you, but with your statement we can lock him up for evaluation,” Chambers is said to have written. ‘I ask for the evaluation and scans. I don’t trust that he won’t fool a therapist.”
Effie constantly claimed that Hammer “frightened” her and his other alleged victims into not reporting his behavior, but Chambers assured her that her estranged husband could “do NOTHING” to hurt them.
“We have one chance to stop this behavior and prevent other women and girls” [sic] to be hurt and worse,” Chambers is said to have written. “We have to sue, otherwise no one will take this seriously. As we have seen, they are very good at removing stuff from the internet. It must be legal and it must be official.
“He really is a psychopath,” she is said to have added.
Chambers’s representative did not respond to Vidak For Congress’s request for comment. Hammer’s lawyer declined to comment. Effie also did not respond to our request for comment.
Multiple sources allege to Vidak For Congress that it was Chambers who leaked many photos and videos of Hammer acting inappropriately to the press to increase her chances of full custody. Our sources also claim that Chambers did it out of “repulsion” after the “Death on the Nile” actor cheated on her.
“Elizabeth wanted Armie to be exposed as much as Effie,” said an insider.
Effie’s exposé of Chambers comes a day after Chambers vs. E! News that she and the ‘Rebecca’ actor were ‘in a great place’.
“Our divorce is not finalized yet. But we are really in a great place. We talk all the time,” she said. “We are fully committed to our children, and to being together as much as possible in a non-romantic way for our children.
“Children need their mother; children need their father. So there’s nothing we won’t do.”
She later added that Hammer was “focused on his healing”.
Seemingly shocked by the turnaround, Effie wrote on her Instagram stories at the end of her screenshot spree, “Just a few things to keep in mind before anyone else continues to wish rapists ‘healing.'”
