Dixie D’Amelio debuts shaved head on the BAZAAR Icons red carpet

Dixie D’Amelio has a new ‘do.

The TikTok star debuted a new buzzcut as she walked the red carpet for Harper’s Bazaar’s Icons party during New York Fashion Week.

Her edgy haircut surprised onlookers as it was a striking contrast to the long locks that both she and her younger sister, Charli D’Amelio, have sported since their meteoric rise to worldwide fame via TikTok in early 2020.

The same day she showed up at the fashionable party, the 21-year-old also gave fans a glimpse of the new look in a YouTube video documenting the process.

The video started with Dixie discussing the optics of the debut, with a voice on the speaker indicating they didn’t want to have a “PR nightmare” on their hands.

Dixie assured her team that “we’ll make it a moment,” before listing the physical attributes she possesses that have made the bold beauty statement work for countless other female celebrities dating back decades.

In the rest of the video, Dixie sat while her hair was shaved, followed by a mix of emotions as she waited for the end result.

Many of her fans and celebrity friends praised her new look in the comment section of her Instagram post, with singer Chloe Bailey gushing, “I love the short hair on you 😍.”

Model Coco Rocha added: “You looked amazing. Love the new cut. So good to see your face ❤️.”

While Dixie turns heads on the red carpet, Charli, 18, is making headlines herself. The TikTok star and her mother, Heidi D’Amelio, are participating in Season 31 of ‘Dancing With the Stars’.

She gushed about the support she’s already received from friend Landon Barker and the Kardashians during a conversation with Vidak For Congress last week after the cast reveal.

“Landon knows I’m doing this. He is with me every step of this journey. Travis [Barker] and Kourtney [Kardashian]I told them about it, and they were super excited too,” she said.

“I think overall it’s just going to be really fun and I’ve got a great group around me.”
