Actor David Harbor told the exact moment he knew Lily Allen was the one.
The 47-year-old “Stranger Things” star married the British singer, 37, in 2020 in a quiet Las Vegas wedding attended by her two daughters.
Before saying “I Do” at the famed Graceland Wedding Chapel to an Elvis impersonator, Harbor revealed the moment that prompted him to ask the all-important question.
“I was alone in London, did Black Widow, in this app, went on dates and stuff,” the actor told Britain’s GQ.
“I started texting her, she was in Italy at the time. We got together, went on a date at The Wolseley, and it was, you know, she’s incredible.”
Recalling the exact moment when he knew he was in love, Harbor said, “It was our third date. I was just at this stage where I was like, ‘I’m just going to be brutally honest about everything,’ because why lie? And I told her something about my life, about my beliefs.”
“It would take a very special person to accept the things I said,” he continued. “And I remember thinking, ‘Wow, that’s someone I want to be with.'”
The actor joked that his wife fell for him faster than he did for her.
“She claims to have fallen in love with me at first sight – I mean, who wouldn’t?” said Haven.
Last week, Harbor talked about their first meeting during an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
“She said when I saw you I saw the biggest person I’ve ever seen in my life and also the smallest person I’ve ever seen in my life,” he recalled of their first date in London.
“Isn’t that interesting? That’s how she fell in love with me – that in a way I was very big and also very small.”
Although this is Harbor’s first marriage, Allen was previously married to Sam Cooper from 2011 to 2018. They share daughters Ethel and Marnie.
