Måneskin had no trouble showing some skin at the VMAs.
The lead singer of the Italian rock band, Damiano David, let it all hang out for their VMAs 2022 performance, wearing nothing but a pair of black leather chaps with a thong.
The 23-year-old rocker turned and brutally shook the crowd as he performed their hit song “Supermodel” after receiving their award for Best Alternative Video off-camera.
David rounded out his edgy look with over-the-knee leather boots, heavy black eye makeup and a silver-studded black choker, while wearing his hair slicked back for his performance outfit.
“HE IS SO HOT NO THEY ARE ALL SO HOT I CAN’T” a fan commented On Tweet from MTV News.
Meanwhile, his fellow band members wore coordinating black ensembles, and it seems bassist Victoria De Angelis showed a little more skin than intended.
The 22-year-old wore a Gucci one-shoulder outfit that bared one breast, which she covered with a pasty one. However, it was the chest meant to be covered by her top that was suddenly freed, causing MTV to censor the performance.
Fans took to Twitter to complain about the screen cutting too far away, wide shots of the stage, eventually realizing it was due to a wardrobe malfunction.
“You ruined their performance”, a fan commented on the MTV News post, while another said:“I’m furious! I’ve been waiting all this time and they were on for a few seconds and barely on the screen?”
“I think [sic] the cameras cut off because the guitarist’s wardrobe is broken lol “a follower tweeted.
Måneskin, who won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2021, was also nominated for Best New Artist and Group of the Year and is also the first Italian band to be nominated for or win a VMA.
Speaking of their Best Alternative Video award, “It’s actually awesome,” David told ET. “We didn’t expect that [win]. There are a lot of great, great artists here, so it’s obviously an honor for us.”
That’s worth a booty shake in our book.
