Christina Ricci revealed that her 8-year-old son, Freddie, still sleeps in her bed – while her 9-month-old daughter, Cleopatra, sleeps in her own crib.
“The fact that I can put her in her crib and she just go to sleep if my 8-year-old is still sleeping with me is amazing,” Ricci, 42, told People in an interview published Monday.
The “Yellowjackets” actress explained that she tried to sleep train Freddie – who she shares with ex James Heerdegen – when he was younger, but she didn’t feel comfortable letting him cry it out.
“He screamed himself hoarsely and started banging his head against the railing of the crib,” explained Ricci.
Fortunately for Ricci and her husband, Mark Hampton, who got married in October, their baby Cleo is enjoying her time alone.
“But with Cleo, when we decided to try it and see how she would react to it, she just whined for about seven minutes and then lay down, grabbed her little unicorn and fell asleep,” she gushed.
“It was like she was ready and she wanted to do it, and it was good for her.”
The Emmy-nominated actress joins a plethora of other A-Listers who would rather have their kids sleep with them.
Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard recently shared the exciting news that their two daughters Lincoln, 9 and Delta, 7, “graduated” in July from sleeping on a “three-sheet mattress” on their bedroom floor.
“Clueless” star Alicia Silverstone also went viral when she revealed that she and her 11-year-old son, Bear, are “still sleeping together”.
“I don’t really care,” Silverstone, 45, said of potential critics on “The Ellen Fisher Podcast” in July.
