Madonna Says Her 16-Year-Old Son Wears Her Clothes Better Than She Does

There is more than one fashion board in this famous family.

While performing on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” music and style icon Madonna revealed that her son David Banda, 16, is already undressing her.

“He can put on any outfit and look swag like you know,” she told Fallon on Wednesday night.

“It’s really irritating. He wears my clothes and looks better. He can even wear a dress and look tough.”

The “Material Girl” wasn’t kidding. In May, the mother-son duo in Adidas outfits matched up at the WBA World Lightweight Championship at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.

Known for his gender-fluid fashion choices, Banda stole the show in a bright red three-stripe dress from Adidas’ collaboration with Gucci. The teen paired the eye-catching look with yellow sunglasses, layered silver jewelry and black sneakers.

But David inherited more from his mother than just her fashion sense. The “Like a Virgin” singer went on to tell Fallon that her son, whom she adopted in 2006, is working on his own music.

“He will eventually become one of your guests,” the 63-year-old said of Banda, saying he has “everything” to become a star.

Fallon agreed with the Queen of Pop, saying, “He’s got ‘it’. He has magic. He’s funny, he’s charming, he’s athletic, he’s a handsome guy.”

During the same interview, the hitmaker revealed the moment she believed her career was over after she accidentally ripped off the audience during her performance of “Like a Virgin” at the first-ever MTV Video Music Awards in 1984.

According to Madge, after her stiletto slipped off the stage on stage, she ducked to grab it — accidentally folding up her dress and exposing her backside to the audience.

“Those were the days when you didn’t have to show your behind to make a career,” the singer joked. “Now it’s the opposite.”

Though her reps thought her career would crash after the incident, the superstar became one of the best-selling female artists of all time.
