Christian Siriano moved show just for Janet Jackson

Time waits for no one. But apparently it ends for Janet Jackson.

Designer Christian Siriano moved his entire New York Fashion Week show earlier this week so the superstar could attend, Vidak For Congress is told.

“He usually shows during fashion week, like on a Saturday, but he had it early this year on a Wednesday to adjust her schedule. He said, ‘If Janet comes, I don’t care if there are 10 people, we’ll make it work,’ said an insider.

Needless to say, she was a sensation at the event, which was held at Elizabeth Taylor’s mansion.

In fact, there was such a swarm of photographers around Jackson, one brazenly musing on those basking in the glory reflected.

Journalist Derek Blasberg and editor Nina Garcia—neither of whom are known to spy in front of a lens—had the pleasure of sitting with Jackson. A photographer was overhead and said, “Those two are going to eat all this publicity they’re going to get.”

Meanwhile, her appearance on Sirano’s show went green (as in the color of jealousy) this season.

Another source told Vidak For Congress that a stream of designers begged Jackson’s team to convince her to stay in town so she could come to their show too. And, of course, she showered her with freebies hoping to convince her to accept the invite.

Siriano, who we’re told she’d never met the “Rhythm Nation” singer before, though she’s worn his pieces in the past, received her after the show at his dinner.

Coco Rocha, Leigh Lezark, Maye Musk, Kyle Smith, Candice Huffine and Jasmine Poulton also dined with them and raised glasses more than once for the collection.

Dinner ended at 9:30 PM and the party continued at Paradise Club in the Times Square Edition, where the DJ played Jackson’s tunes non-stop, we were told.

A source at the club told us that Jackson was “out to have a good time.”

Jackson also attended the Harlem Fashion Row event at Lincoln Center the night before Tuesday’s Siriano show, where LVHM honored her with the “Icon of the Year” award.
