Chainsmokers singer claims TI punched him in the face at a party

“All we know” is that TI needs his personal space.

Andrew “Drew” Taggart of The Chainsmokers claims the Atlanta rapper recently punched him at a party after kissing the MC on the cheek.

“TI literally punched me in the face,” Taggart, 32, claimed Tuesday in a video posted to the group’s TikTok page titled, “When meeting TI goes wrong.”

“We’re in a mood and I gave him a kiss on the cheek, it was all my fault,” he added as group mate Alex Pall, 37, laughed in the background.

“And he said, ‘Don’t do that,’ and I was like, ‘OK,’ and he pushed me off. I was like, ‘Okay, my mistake,'” Taggart continued.

“He punched me in the face, and I was like, ‘Okay, I’m sorry,’ and he said, ‘Okay, cool, we’re good.’ It was the strangest interaction ever.”

The “Takeaway” artist continued with his part in the fiasco, adding: “TI is absolutely right on this. I was like, I felt the vibrations way too hard, and I kissed TI on the cheek, and he hit me in the face for it. It’s all right.”

Some fans defended the songwriter, commenting, “You’re just comfortable with your sexuality, nothing wrong with a kiss on the cheek 🥰.”

However, others believe it was not the right move to make without permission.

“LIMITS!!! I can’t kiss people without permission, my boy, you know better! Lol 😘,” wrote one follower, while another added: “What kind of vibe did you all have that you thought it was okay to TI to kiss on the cheek😂😂.”

The next day, TI – real name Clifford Joseph Harris Jr. — to Instagram to briefly discuss the matter and invite the duo to his podcast “Expeditiously.”

“I don’t have anything negative to say, we just had to work through some stuff, you know what I mean? We’ve come to a much better place,” explains TI, 41. “I have nothing but good things to say about them. I won’t go into too much detail, but I love The Chainsmokers, man.”

He added: “I think the most important thing to take with you is afterwards. We had a drink, we took a shot and moved on. I like The Chainsmokers, not to run out of sugar.”
