He feels 22!
Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas wished their son, Dylan, a happy birthday on Monday with touching Instagram tributes.
“Happy 22nd Birthday Dylan,” the 52-year-old actress captioned a slideshow of throwback photos.
“Zero to 22!” she went on to write. “You are everything to me and everything is you. The joy you have brought into this world thus far is immeasurable. I love you more than words can express. ️♥️♥️♥️♥️.”
As for Douglas, the 77-year-old actor wished their son the “best” year.
“Dylan my man!” the Oscar winner wrote alongside a smiling wink of Dylan’s Brown University graduation in May. “Happy 22nd! My God!
“Out of college, on the go, you rock!” the actor continued. “I’m so proud of you Dylan. Have a great new year! Your year!”
Dylan graduated from Brown University in Providence, RI in May.
“Graduation congratulations to my boy, my pride, my joy, Dylan,” Zeta-Jones gushed in a tribute on Instagram at the time. “I am inexplicably proud of you and I love you without words.”
Zeta-Jones and Douglas, who married in November 2000, are also the parents of daughter Carys, 19. Douglas also shares son Cameron, now 43, with ex-wife Diandra Luker.
The actor told The Guardian that his priorities were “completely different” during his first marriage, and he focused more on his career than fatherhood.
“I always encourage people to hold off on starting a family — get your career in order as best you can,” he said.
The Emmy winner commented that he was “genuinely happy to have Catherine work” while staying at home with their kids, gushing that he “cherished”[ed]their time together.
“I’m not driven like I once was — these days I’m consumed with fatherhood and my responsibilities as a husband,” he explained. “I never expected to start a family at my age.”
