Cat Marnell has her next project ready.
The author of ‘How to Murder Your Life’ exclusively tells Vidak For Congress that she is working on a ‘sleazy’ chicklit novel.
“It’s going to be sexy, sleazy, glamorous and ultra-girly…just like me,” says Marnell. “It happens that Judith Krantz trajectory.”
Marnell, 39, says her upcoming book will be about a “megalomaniac Tribeca socialite who is destroyed by love and runs off to Ibiza,” which of course sounds like an enhanced version of her own life.
“I’m going to spin a contemporary fantasy world filled with loft shopping, Ligne Roset Togo loveseats, Gagosian openings, dashing electronic music DJs, Issey Miyake Prism bags and Telfar crop tops,” she promises.
“Fantasy to feminine.”
Marnell assures us – and her fans – that those looking for a “second story full of juicy secrets” won’t be disappointed.
“I’m doing this because it’s the most creative challenge I can take on, and I know I’ll crush it,” she says. “I haven’t been this excited about my job in ten years.”
The writer of ‘Babyshambles’ doesn’t know exactly when it will be released, but she plans to have the first version ready in the spring.
