Sanjeev Satturu was given the title of senior vice president and chief information officer of Casey’s General Stores Inc., after his recent promotion. He takes over for Adrian Butler, who resigned from the network of convenience stores at the beginning of March in order to pursue another professional opportunity.
Once serving as vice president of information technology, Satturu will now report to Steve Bramlage, Casey’s chief financial officer.
Before beginning his position as vice president of technology at Casey’s in August 2021, Satturu worked for Travelers Insurance in Hartford, Connecticut, as well as for John Deere in Moline, Illinois, and Daimler Chrysler in Auburn Hills, Michigan, where he held several global digital and engineering positions. In addition to that, he worked for the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) in India as an apprentice engineer.
During the time that he worked at Casey’s, Butler “developed Casey’s IT organization to better serve our shops, team members, and visitors,” according to a spokesman for the company.
In June of 2020, Butler started working at Casey’s in the newly formed position of Chief Information Officer (CIO), which gave him responsibility for all information technology strategy, innovation, modernization, and delivery. Before that, he worked for Dine Brands Global in Glendale, California, where he held the positions of senior vice president of information technology and chief information officer. Dine Brands Worldwide is the parent company of the IHOP and Applebee’s quick-service restaurant franchises. Butler worked for Target Corporation in Minneapolis for a total of four years before joining Dine Brands. During that time, he held the positions of senior director of technology services and vice president of business solutions security.
On CSP’s 2023 Top 40 update to the 2022 Top 202 ranking of convenience-store chains, Casey’s General Stores came in at position No. 3. This ranking is determined by the total number of company-owned sites.
