Casey Affleck couldn’t reach Georgia for his brother’s lavish wedding because it appears he had to take his son Atticus to soccer practice.
The girlfriend of the “Manchester by the Sea” star, Caylee Cowan, shared a since-deleted comment under Casey’s Instagram tribute to Bennifer 2.0 that divulged his real plans.
“Hey, if you weren’t in town on Saturday to take Atty to soccer practice, who would have helped the kid who broke his arm?” she wrote.
“You are a good man. I love you.”
A Casey representative did not immediately respond to Vidak For Congress’s request for comment.
Cowan’s comment came after paparazzi caught up with Casey, 47, at Starbucks, where he told the cameras, visibly uncomfortable, that he had “other things” to do.
A source later told People that the “Gone Baby Gone” actor had to miss the wedding “due to family and parental commitments at home.”
The ‘Hustlers’ star, 53, and ‘Good Will Hunting’ actor, 50, tied the knot Saturday night in a swanky ceremony led by Jay Shetty at Ben’s $8 million estate in Riceboro. Lopez told Affleck “I do” for the second time while wearing a dazzling Ralph Lauren dress with a 20-foot veil.
Bennifer 2.0 – who tied the knot in Las Vegas earlier this summer – welcomed A-listen like Matt Damon and Jimmy Kimmel, along with talent agent Patrick Whitesell, Australian model Pia Miller and “Jay and Silent Bob” stars Kevin Smith and Jason meow.
The dress code seemed to ask everyone to wear white.
On Sunday, the newlyweds invited the intimate group of family and friends to a picnic-style brunch. A-list event planner Colin Cowie was hired to plan the three-day affair Vidak For Congress reported exclusively last month.
