Candace Cameron Bure wishes ‘sex within marriage’ [didn’t] getting such a bad rap” and gushing about her own “healthy” sex life with husband Valeri Bure.
The couple, married since June 1996, ‘don’t have a schedule’ for intimacy but ‘make time for each other’ [and] still love each other physically,” Candace told Mayim Bialik on Tuesday’s episode of the “Bialik Breakdown” podcast.
The “Full House” alum clarified that she does not want to give her three children “TMI” or “gross”, but admitted that sex is “important” to her relationship.
“I’m a happier person and my husband is a happier person when we’ve had sex,” the 46-year-old actress gushed.
She noted that while time in the bedroom can be about communication and connection, sometimes it’s “just about sex.”
Candace explained, “Some days you just need the release.”
The Hallmark star went on to reveal that she’s most ‘attracted’ to her husband when he makes her laugh, because that’s ‘one of the [her] love languages.”
Since the retired ice hockey player, 48, grew up in Russia, “he can tend to be a lot more reserved… and a little more serious about life,” she added.
“So when there’s that playfulness, there’s nothing that makes me happier.”
The former co-host of ‘View’, the mother of Natasha, 24, Lev, 22, and Maksim, 20, has not hesitated to talk candidly about her and Valeri’s sex life over the years.
In September 2020, the actress made headlines for defending a photo of the former athlete with his hand on her chest, writing via Instagram that Valeri “can touch me whenever he wants, and I hope he does.”
Candace told the podcast host “Confessions of a Crappy Christian” two months later that their sex is a “marriage blessing.”
Instead, she would like it to be “celebrated,” adding, “The fact that we have fun and flirt together is part of what makes our marriage work.”
