Britney Spears’ mother Lynne apologizes for the singer’s ‘pain’

Britney Spears’ mother has publicly apologized for the “pain” the pop star had endured during her 13-year conservatory.

Lynne Spears begged her daughter’s forgiveness in an Instagram comment on Saturday after Britney said in a lengthy post that “a heartfelt apology would help [her] closure” in their family feud.

“I’m so sorry for your pain! I’ve regretted it for years!” Lynne responded.

“I love you so much and miss you!” she continued, adding: “Britney, deep down you know how much I love and miss you! I apologize for anything and everything that hurt you!”

The 67 author of “Through the Storm” also begged the Grammy winner, 40, to “please unblock her” so they can “speak in person.”

A source close to Lynne tells Vidak For Congress exclusively that the Spears matriarch is “trying, trying, trying to get in touch” with Britney over the phone and feeling “helpless”, leaving her “with no choice but to take refuge to social media.”

In the post that sparked Lynne’s mea culpa, Britney wrote on Friday that her family members “have no consciousness whatsoever and really believe that they have done nothing wrong at all” regarding her conservatorship, which earned her father, Jamie Spears. control over the personal, medical and financial decisions of the singer “Toxic” from February 2008 until the patriarch’s suspension as conservator in September 2021.

A Los Angeles judge ended the controversial legal settlement altogether in November 2021, nearly five months after Britney alleged in court that Jamie, 70, sent her to a mental institution against her will and forced her to go on tour.

A source close to Britney tells us that while Lynne has never had a formal conservatory role like Jamie, the “Crossroads” star “feels more hurt by her mother because they were always close.” Britney and her father, meanwhile, had “a tense relationship for many years — even before the conservatory,” the insider said.
