Britney Spears’ ex Jason Alexander arrested for alleged theft

Britney Spears’ ex-husband Jason Alexander has been caught in yet another legal problem.

Police records seen by Vidak For Congress show that Alexander was picked up from Ventura County jail in California on Tuesday after serving a 60-day prison sentence for breaking into the house of the singer “Sometimes” and immediately transferred to jail. of Napa County on a warrant issued in 2016 over an alleged jewelry theft.

The arrest report shows that Alexander, 40, has been charged with grand theft and buying/receiving stolen goods.

TMZ reported that the charges stem from Alexander allegedly walking away with a $2,000 bracelet for a woman when he was a guest at someone’s Napa home in 2015.

Police allege that Alexander had only been living in the woman’s home for a few weeks when she claimed jewelry was missing from her bedroom. He later admitted to the woman that he had stolen and pawned her diamond and sapphire tennis bracelet.

He is being held on $20,000 bail.

Despite the transfer, Alexander will still have to attend a hearing in his home burglary case on Nov. 9. Alexander initially pleaded not guilty to breaking into Spears’ home on her wedding day in June, but changed his plea to no contest about a week ago.

The no-match plea means that Alexander accepted his conviction as if a guilty plea had been filed, but he does not officially plead guilty to aggravated trespassing and assault, which are felonies.

The court dismissed the charges of stalking and felony vandalism.

A source from Spears’ camp at the time told Vidak For Congress exclusively that the outcome was a “good result” because if the case had been heard in Los Angeles, Alexander probably would not have served a prison sentence.
