Brad Pitt, who is under fire, will “own nothing he hasn’t done,” his lawyer said after the actor’s ex-wife, Angelina Jolie, made more allegations of abuse.
Pitt’s attorney, Anne Kiley, told Vidak For Congress on Thursday that “Brad has owned everything he is responsible for from day one – as opposed to the other side.
“He will not own anything that he has not done,” the statement continued. “He has been on the receiving end of every kind of personal attack and misrepresentation.”
Kiley continued: “Fortunately, the various public authorities that the other side has been trying to use against him over the past six years have made their own independent decisions. Brad will continue to respond in court as he always has.”
Jolie accused Pitt in court documents filed Tuesday of asphyxiating one of their six children aboard a private jet in September 2016.
In a counter complaint obtained by Vidak For Congress, the “Maleficent” actress, 47, went into detail about what allegedly happened during the now infamous flight that led her to file for divorce.
The filing claimed that the “Fight Club” star, 58, “choked one of the kids… punched another in the face” and “grabbed Jolie by the head and shook her.”
Jolie also claimed that Pitt poured beer on her, as well as beer and wine on their children.
The actress is said to have tried to intervene at one point and ‘grab’ her then-husband from behind to try and stop him, the filing claimed.
“To get Jolie off his back, Pitt threw himself back into the seats of the plane, injuring Jolie’s back and elbow,” the documents claimed.
“The kids rushed in and all tried to protect each other bravely. Before it was over, Pitt choked one of the kids and punched another in the face. Some kids begged Pitt to stop. They were all scared. Many were crying.”
The former couple – who married in August 2014 – share six children: Maddox, 21, Pax, 18, Zahara, 17, Shiloh, 16, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 14. Since their split in 2016, they have had a bitter custody battle. . fighting over their minor children.
Pitt was under investigation by the FBI for alleged child abuse due to the in-flight incident.
However, authorities have not brought any criminal charges against the “Bullet Train” star, who revealed in September 2019 that he is sober.
According to documents previously obtained by Vidak For Congress, a U.S. Attorney General concluded not to prosecute Pitt based on discussions with the agent.
“All parties agreed that criminal charges would not be prosecuted in this case due to several factors,” the archives said.
A source close to the “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” star told us in August that “Angelina and her team have been desperately trying to find something,” adding, “This is all for show. This is all information. which she already had five and a half years ago. There is nothing new here.”
That said, in the new counter-indictment, Jolie’s attorneys argued that the FBI agent investigating the allegations “had probable cause to charge Pitt with a federal felony for his behavior that day.”
Tuesday’s counterclaim was filed in response to a lawsuit Pitt filed against Jolie months earlier over the sale of her interest in their French chateau where they were married.
The ‘Moneyball’ star claimed in the previous filing that neither would sell their share of Château Miraval and its profitable vineyard without the other’s consent.
Jolie’s counter-charge asked “the Court to confirm that no such ‘consent agreement’ exists,” according to the documents.
The ‘Salt’ star also claimed on file that Pitt “demands that she sign a nondisclosure agreement that would have contractually prohibited her from speaking out of court about Pitt’s physical and emotional abuse of her and their children.”
Since Jolie reportedly “refused to agree to such a provision… Pitt walked away from the deal,” the documents claim, adding that any agreement over the castle is “null and void” due to Pitt’s attempt to condition the deal on based on “Jolie’s silence”.
